Meet the beekeeper
Anita Burrough

With a degree in Environmental Science, a Masters degree in Forest Management and Conservation. I have had a varied and interesting career.
I have previously worked as an Arboricultural Consultant in Surrey, been part of an international team studying biodiversity in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest and have led a national project, in collaboration with Natural England, to map the traditional orchards in England and Wales with one of the aims being to locate and conserve the rare, noble chafer beetle.

I have always had a passion for the natural environment and am at my happiest when wandering around the countryside studying the small things of the world.

Now a Mother to a young son, beekeeping allows me to continue to follow my love for nature while being able to do the school run - albeit in a bee suit sometimes!!
